Assignment:Engineering design & Drafting

December 25, 2007 at 7:05 pm (Uncategorized)

Drawing seems very interesting to me,but at this time it has come up as a tedious assignment to prepare.About 3 weeks before,we were given a assignment of EEE-200,where we have to draw about 40 Electrical & Electronic components with their graphic symbol which carries 20 marks.Due to our Quizes, assignments,Lab viva,it was impossible for us to submit it timely. That’s why the date of submission has been delayed by two times. Our benevolently course teacher was convinced considering the fact. The final date of submission is 29th December,we are very much worried to finish it perfectly because we have upcoming two Quizes, two assignments which also must be submitted at the first day after our Eid vacation (29th dec.).Overall we are passing very harsh time to be prepared for next Quizes and assignments submission during the Eid Vacation

“Commemoration of Sacrifice”

December 19, 2007 at 7:13 pm (Uncatagorized yet)

ub12.jpg

21th december Coming,The bangladeshi muslims will celebrate the Holy-Eid-Ul azha in the appropriate manner of religious fervour and enthusiasm.People, dressed in new clothes, will visit houses of neighbours and relatives to exchange greetings and partake of the special foods prepared in this occasion.a few days have been declared as government holidays. Many peoples are going to their country homes to celebrate this Eid with their relatives. The Eid congregational prayer will be held in large mosques and open fields. Radio and television channels are preparing to broadcast special programmes and newspapers publish special features highlighting the significance of the occasion.

We know that Eid-ul-azha commemorates the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (A),who had been asked to sacrifice his dearest son Hazrat Ismail (A).With the consent of his son,he(A) arranged everything to implement Allah’s order at a place called Mina.Allah was greatly satisfied by His sincere intent & ordered him to sacrifice an animal in place of his son.In this occasion we should keep in our mind such commemoration of sacrifice.

The happiness of Eid becomes always intact to the underprivileged men. They have no ability to buy new clothes .They don’t get any chance to eat good foods those are prepared in this occasion. We should extend our eager hand to our nearest deprived children who deserve this kind of facilitation from us.This is the meant sacrifice of the EID-UL-AZHA.

The Promise of Victory Day

December 16, 2007 at 1:00 am (Uncatagorized yet)

cover01.jpg

16th december The VICTORY Day comes once again this year and fills us with a sense of pride and joy. December 16th is that unique day in our history nearly three decades ago, when we realised an extraordinary and heartfelt dream. We became an independent nation. The dream for Bangladesh became a reality only after a long and bitter struggle and after an immeasurable price had been exacted in return. Our martyrs paid the price with their lives, anointing our mission with their blood and ever-strengthening our resolve. As we rejoice in the memory of Victory Day, we pay homage to all our freedom fighters. ….

After 37th years of our independence,Have we kept the promise of the fighters who sacrificed their lives only for saving our own identity, our own nation, our mother land? No,we have been failed.

….Among the most serious of our failures is that we have not translated the fruits of our independence into real economic and social gains for our masses. We have not been able to lift a majority of our people above the margins of poverty. We have failed to give a basic level of education, health and security to a majority of our children and youth. Women in Bangladesh have made some advances in social awareness and income generation, but they still remain the lowest ranking members of the economic and social order, at high risk during pregnancy, from attacks of domestic violence, and still burdened with the care and upbringing of children. We have evidently achieved an average growth rate of more than five per cent in our economy, but this gain does not look that attractive when measured against the damage we have done to our environment. Our clean underground water resource is discovered to be contaminated by arsenic. Our surface water sources have been polluted with dangerous chemical wastes.

…..So, while we rejoice in the anniversary of our victory today, we do so with a heavy heart. The promise of Victory Day remains unmistakeably unfulfilled. It is this realisation that we urge on the entire leadership today. We expect to see democracy work inside and outside parliament. The time has come for those who are responsible to take concrete steps to substantially lift a majority of our people above the poverty line, to provide them with health, education and a safe environment. These are the responsibilities that the people entrusted to their leaders. We urge them to live up to this trust, to convert the victory we gained on this day into a real victory for all our people.

“Zero celebration”

December 10, 2007 at 8:41 pm (Uncatagorized yet)

That was 29th november,2007.It was the day of grieve, the day of movement, the day of enjoyment. We,about 34 students of our class of section D celebrated a different type of celebration. We named it as “Zero celebration”.It seems very interesting, doesnt it?I have sat up to tell this beyond story of this Celebration.that was about 10.00 or 11.00 a.m.I dont know actually what was the time.Ok no matter what the time was !.Our friend reza (known as the most bookworm of our class) was faced a accident that was occurred in our class. It should be mentioned here he is a good singer also.It was a very busy day of our class schedule.Class schedule was 9.40 a.m. To 1.30 p.m then Quiz (measurement & instrumentation).actually we bothered very much about that Quiz.already We made it delayed from last wednesday to thursday by our earning request to our course teacher Polash sarker (barmy person about his course). He is very stricted in his given Quiz schedule.Actually he was convinced by our concord demand.ok,i am back in my base story of this writing.as usual Everone of our class was taking preparation.By that time i dont know actually what’s the reason, reza was jumping up in the table & wriggling around also.Meanwhile he raised up his hand and suddenly his hand was crashed down by rotating fan.what a dodgy incident it was !He was greatly wounded in right hand.He was sorely wounded actually,Then he was brought to concerned doctor of our varsity & treated by his intensive conduct. With this accident we were really very much shocked. We had been shaken deeply mentally. It was very impossible for us to carry on our classes. Then we decided to renounce our classes. It was the off time also. Our next class which was scheduled in 11.00 a.m hasn’t begun yet. Then we made tracks to our decided decision in concord.we were very much amazed to see our unity and stunned also.we haven’t see it before in our section. This kind of Unity, harmony between us was our expectation at the beginning of our First semester.Such movement to make a demand contented was taken before but some students were in reverse position always.A concord demand can make any decision in high spirits.we know it but don’t utilize it.We had seen for the first time the inquisitive movement by everyone of our class on that day.Our oath was without our friend we will not continue our classes & quiz also, though we know that a great zero is waiting for us.Because Polash sir told us if this quiz is delayed again ,he will not undertake this quiz again and we will be given Zero.Though we were concerned about that but we were fixed in mind that we will yield our quiz without our friend. This thnking was always rounding in our mind. For that we went to inform about this accident formally to our Head sir(EEE head). He was shocked also hearing it and he beagn to hurry up to take his necessary responsibilities.First he informed to VC and then was infomed about the situation of the strike in his hand from the concerned doctor. After being informed then he came up to us.Then we told our decision of Yielding classes. But he didn’t give us that assurance. He said he has no authorization to give any decision, even VC has not also.We didn’t get our desired response from our Head sir.

Then we were confirmed that it will not possible to get any assurance from our teachers. We decided to quit classes & quiz though our course teachers were not agreed.Whatever is there decision,we will not attend in our quiz, already it was timed up of our all scheduled classes. We were sure we will get Zero but we were promised to do that.We knew we were taking a wrong decision, but we enjoyed it very much.Meanwhile Reza was become quite well by treatment. We became very relieved to know it.But were fixed in our decision. Our main enjoyment was begun then.

We set off our mind to pass few hours in nearly Bashundhara City with all students of our section concurrently. We were about 34 students. It was our first experience to go anywhere jointly with about all students of our class. How can i express that feelings in text.It became a festival for us without any declaration. It seemed that we celebrated that day having no clarification. We passed about 3 hours there with gossiping, sharing our nice experiences, feelings, enjoyed moments actually we shared ourselves.Reza was also present with us.Though he was not stayed all through. He was taken up to his home carefully. Two of our friends were with him. After covering our short Dish in Food court we ended up our undesigned party with Designed way. This is a brief description of Our Zero Celebration.Everything can not be expressed in text. The all moments & flashes of this celebration will be always kept in our mind.We are expressing our deep grieve to Reza of his such unexpected incident. Thanks all the students of My class. Thanks a lot.

“SIDR_a cyclone of human rights

December 10, 2007 at 8:38 pm (Uncatagorized yet)

images.jpg images2.jpg

It was Nov 16,2007.A powerful cyclone smashed into Bangladesh killing more than 500 people, as it uprooted trees, destroyed homes and forced tens of thousands to flee for their lives,Different news sources confirmed.Sidr hit the coast of Bangladesh in the night (15 November) at 6:45 PM local time and reached the capital Dhaka in the early hours of this morning. Although the storm has now weakened, it has left a trail of unimaginable destruction in its wake. I have seen in news reports that 150 fishing trawlers and their crews are still unaccounted for, having failed to return to shore before the storm hit. It’s really treacherous to think. The nation had not experinced such a terrible natural disaster before. The whole Country is expressing deep grieve for the Victims.

The eye of cyclone Sidr, shown in satellite images as a huge swirling white mass moving in from the Bay of Bengal, hit land Thursday night(15 nov) before sweeping north towards the capital Dhaka. When we think that thousands of homes were ripped apart by ferocious winds, and tracts of farmland have been severely damaged, then it comes in mind that we are really defenseless in natural calamities. We have no protective structure of protecting such devastating cylone that the nation experienced.

I have seen in newspaper that Most deaths were caused by trees crushing delicate homes made of bamboo and tin.Can you believe that the Wind speeds of 220-240 kilometres (140-155 miles) an hour were recorded at that time, declared as the worst storms of years.Tens and possibly hundreds of thousands of people in the southwest spent the night in special evacuation shelters in a bid to avoid the massive casualties of previous cyclones.

I have heard that The Experts thoughts ‘Sidr’ as similar in strength to the 1991 storm that triggered a tidal wave that killed an estimated 138,000 people.Another cyclone was triggered in 1970 that carried such enormous destruction.

To save the victims our first priority is to distribute food and other relief items, to provide emergency shelter, and to ensure that people have access to basic health care, and clean water. The whole have to be approach to do.There is also needed psycho-social support, shelter rehabilitation, restoration of water and sanitation facilities, as well as livelihoods provision and support.

I am very glad to see that Our people are extending their Eager hand to help the devastated peoples of the Cyclone SIDR.From this terrible disaster we should learn how can we protest our lives from any such natural calamities. How can we be approach to the defected peoples,How can we work for a blameless life. The ruinous effects of this cyclone will be remembered in mind of The nation always.I express my deep grieve to the affected, distressed, dead peoples for the undesired destruction of their livelihood.
